There is a widespread superstition that distilled water, when drunk in large quantities, is harmful to health and even deadly. Not suitable for drinking, but only for irons or for refilling battery acid in car batteries.
But this is a misconception. Steam distilled water is actually very good for drinking. Try it. You will be surprised by the pleasantly soft and clear taste.
In the meantime, I use a steam distiller to produce my drinking water on a daily basis. I share the consistently positive experiences in the following.
Overview
- Rainwater is natural distilled water.
- Counteract the calcification
- No more calcification of the vessels
- Use steam distilled and osmosis drinking water
- Fasting with distilled water
- Mineral supplement if required
- Energization - simple and effective
- Conclusion
Rainwater is natural distilled water.
In many regions of the world, people collect rainwater and drink it as a matter of course. Rainwater is basically also steam-distilled water, which only has certain impurities due to environmental influences.
Only in contact with the ground rainwater absorbs quite a few minerals and loses its pure state, which it has directly after condensation. All these minerals give the water a specific taste.
In the heyday of health resorts or spas, the healing power of certain minerals in the water was literally advertised. Even with sulfurous water for bathing cures. The minerals in the water would promote healing processes.
Today, especially brine baths enjoy great popularity. Read also the article Rejuvenation through alkaline bathing.
Counteract the calcification
Maybe you've long had a filtration system in your house that filters harmful substances out of your drinking water? I use a filter that retains just about all harmful substances, but not lime, which is abundant in the water.
Can it be assumed that this lime is used by the human body in a useful way to strengthen the bones, hair and fingernails?
Or does lime in the water contribute to calcifying the internal organs, as usually happens with milk and cheese, for example? How can I effectively counteract calcification?Â
Valuable minerals that the body can actually assimilate, we get only through natural plant foods and also by some dietary supplements.
Water definitely does not have the task of supplying the body with minerals. The inorganic minerals go into the bloodstream, but not into the cell.Â
A healthy body will simply excrete the inorganic minerals in the water. In this respect, calciferous water alone is no cause for concern. But what about chronic lack of exercise and malnutrition? When the body no longer manages to completely eliminate unusable substances, it deposits them somewhere. Even the lime.
To promote the elimination of waste products, drinking pure, mineral-free water is recommended.
No more calcification of the vessels
As I said, I bought a steam distiller. There is distilled water in canisters in the trade, but that is only suitable for technical use. Only water distilled with steam is beneficial for the body.
The new unit should first be pre-treated with citric acid. After a few distillations, the water is then very soft and digestible. I can feel how it does me good.
Incidentally, there are no longer any brown deposits in teapots. The patina-like coating that likes to form over time is apparently a mixture of tea and lime.
Just as drinking vessels no longer accumulate deposits, the body's internal vessels remain free of them. In addition, distilled water helps to eliminate the older deposits more effectively than normal water.
Use steam distilled and osmosis drinking water
In addition to steam distillation units, there are also osmosis units that remove both minerals and contaminants from tap water.
Without sufficient experience with osmosis systems, I cannot draw any comparisons here. However, I assume that both technical variants are equal in terms of the quality of the drinking water produced.Â
In both cases, the PH is slightly lower than the water before the unit. My distilled water has a PH value of 6.0.
This is slightly more acidic than normal water. However, this in no way means that distilled or osmosis water would have an unfavorable effect on the acid balance of the body. You can find more detailed information on this - only in German - at lebendiges-trinkwasser.de.
The device I use distills up to 4 liters within 3-4 hours. When producing 3 liters a day, the electricity costs amount to about 250 € per year. That is the equivalent of 25 cents per liter, which is very reasonable, in my opinion. Of course, the purchase price of the device must also be added.
Update: Unfortunately, as the price of electricity has increased dramatically, the price of distillation is also much higher.
Fasting with distilled water
In his book Miracle of fasting - life without aging Dr. Paul C. Bragg explains why he drinks only distilled water and uses it for his regular fasting cures.Â
From the beginning, Dr. Bragg's book is one of the most stimulating and informative books that deepen the blog topics. This is because he combines his fasting teachings with the possibility of avoiding slagging and thus aging.
The spiritual conditions for staying young are more essential to me than Dr. Bragg's focus on detox, exercise and fasting. We will inevitably decline physically and mentally if we no longer give ourselves goals and challenges, learning tasks.
However, this also includes keeping ourselves fit at all times and detoxifying body and mind on a regular basis.
Fasting with distilled water is - in my opinion - a wonderful method for this.
Mineral supplement if required
Distilled water is pure, so it is also without pollutants. Drinking a sufficient amount of it every day helps us on a physical level to stay healthy or to become healthy again.
Meanwhile, we are free to add some minerals into this pure water. In this way we achieve a change in taste according to our preferences. You can find an instructive video about this here.
Not everyone is a fan of Himalayan salt. Unfortunately, I have no further experience with re-mineralization so far, also because I find it unnecessary.
Mineral additives in natural, organic, liquid, ionic and bioavailable forms are promising.
Energization - simple and effective
The water is not energized by filtration or distillation. From the source to your tap, it has already gone a long way with energy losses.
My water certainly tastes alive, but the difference from mountain spring water is noticeable. So what to do?
Many years ago I once had a technical energizer on the tap. A friend who visited me at that time spontaneously said: We can do that ourselves, too, and probably much better.
No sooner said than done. We filled a large glass vessel and directed our palms to the water. Immediately we felt the energizing energy flowing from our hands to the water.
This allows us to energize the water in a simple and effective way. The bonus: We get into the habit of using the inherent healing power on a regular basis.
Of course, you can additionally program the energy with certain qualities by thinking of certain qualities: love, health, power... For example, some people write "love" on their water jug.
The icing on the cake may then be the addition of certain gemstones.
Conclusion
Steam-distilled water is not only drinkable, but even soft, wholesome and healthy. It can easily meet your daily needs for water, with very favorable price-quality ratio.
Alternatively, you can use an osmosis system.Â
Distilled water is more suitable than normal water to purify and detoxify you with fasting cures. You always have the possibility to additionally energize and program your water - even non-distilled.Â
Distilled water is also excellent for making tea.
