The true, sacred symbol of Christmas.
Traditionally, Christmas has long been a family celebration. The Christian imprint - Jesus' birth - was superimposed on the old festival of the winter solstice. It is a festival where many lights are lit, not just on the Christmas tree.Â
What does this festival of light mean?
Packed into the story of the birth of Jesus, it is in essence the sacred moment of a rebirth of the Light in every human being who is open to it.
The moment of the activation of the Light within the physical body and the beginning of comprehensive healing.
Some call this Light 'Christ Consciousness' or 'Christ Power'. But this power or consciousness is not an invention of the Christian Church.
You find the same LIGHT-POWER also e.g. in Krishna. It is living ONENESS WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS and a direct expression of highest Divine power. Many great Master this POWER is given.
Warm tingling sensation - radiant power
And how am I doing with it?
Well - now and then the LIGHT touches me, for short moments. If I don't distract myself too much with any thoughts, it sometimes lets me feel its loving presence.
Sometimes I experience this LIGHT as a warm tingling that enters the body through the crown chakra, sometimes as a lively, radiant force in the chest or the spine. It feels sooo wonderful! I therefore want to hold it.
But poof - exactly this wanting to hold on and new thoughts tear me out of the contact. And the short, wonderful experience is over. Until the next - thought-free -
... moment of awakening.
Maybe it is not a single moment, but a process of getting used to in many small steps? I admit: I would love to live already now consciously in this POWER! Am I perhaps afraid of the LIGHT? Sometimes it seems to me so. Often I somehow avoid the SILENCE. The SILENCE, in which I would confront myself with the LIGHT.
→ In what way do you experience your contacts with the Light? Feel free to share your experiences as a comment!
All in all, it is - we can assume - a collective process. In it we recognize together more and more clearly the presence of the Light - in us and on Earth. And that it is becoming more and more intense.
Read about collective effects of the Light also in the article The Light has come.
The light is in you. Always has been.
Regardless of whether we perceive the Light in us or not: It is basically always already there - in you, in me, in all of us.
Do we welcome it?
Do you want the Light to completely change your personality and show you your true, divine SELF? Who you REALLY are?
Yeah?
Then celebrate this cornerstone on the path to SELF as your personal LIGHTFEST. Now.
How?
Maybe by going completely open for everything into the SILENCE, HOLY NIGHT. Into the SILENCE of your heart. Beyond the usual Christmas programs.
We can also go into the SILENCE together with friends. A few years ago I followed a spontaneous idea with friends:
Light festival of a special kind
We rented a seminar house over the Christmas days, meditated there intensively, sang heart-touching Taizé songs and mantras and celebrated an "Essene meal" in silent communion - following the example of the ancient Essener Brotherhood in Palestine.
This was basically already a wonderful LIGHTFEST of a special kind, very suitable for the event presented here.
However, we could confidently leave it up to the LIGHT in which way it wants to touch us at Christmas. So just be open for inspiration and intuition instead of planning your LIGHTFEST with your mind!
Which VarietiesWhat is the best way to celebrate Christmas or your LIGHT, you have experienced so far? Would you like to share them in a comment below?
We can trust that our willingness is enough to be truly deeply touched by the LIGHT. Alone on a park bench like Eckart Tolle, together with friends - or even spontaneously with strangers!
Can you open yourself to your Light? Do you want to be the LIGHT OF THE WORLD - together with many?
Perhaps you might meditate on these questions.
I wish you a truly blessed, light-filled Christmas!

A few days ago I heard a little story, and I think it fits well at the end of this article:
Dining with God
Once upon a time there was a little boy who was eager to meet God. He was aware that the way to the place where God lived was a very long one. So he packed his backpack full of juice, bananas and chocolate bars and set out on his journey.
He walked for quite a while and came to a small park. There he saw an old woman sitting on a bench watching the pigeons looking for food on the ground in front of her. The little boy sat down on the bench with the woman and opened his backpack. He was about to take out a banana when he saw the hungry look on the old woman's face. So he grabbed a candy bar and handed it to the woman. Gratefully, she took the candy and smiled at him. - And it was a wonderful smile!
The little boy wanted to see that smile again and offered her a banana too. - And she took the banana and smiled again - even more radiant than before.
The little boy was blissful. The two sat on the bench in the park all afternoon, eating candy bars and drinking juice - but not speaking a word.
When it got dark, the boy felt how tired he was and he decided to walk back home. After a few steps, he stopped and turned around. He went back to the woman and hugged her. The old woman gave him her most beautiful smile in return.
... at home
At home, his mother saw the joy on his face and asked, "What have you done today that you look so happy?" And the little boy replied, "I have dined with God - and She has a wonderful smile!
The old woman had also gone home, where her son was already waiting for her. He also asked her why she looked so cheerful, and she replied: "I have dined with God - and HE is much younger than I thought.
